Roses are often understood as a symbol of romance and love. They are beautiful to look at and take your breath away. But in any case, if you don't have a real one, you can create one on paper.
Steps
Method 1 of 3: Rose in bloom

Step 1. Draw a small freehand circle in the center of the paper for the center of the rose

Step 2. Add another oval shape diagonally over the previous circle for the first petal

Step 3. Join a curved line from the small circle of the oval shape to the second petal

Step 4. Complete the first group of petals around the center by joining another curved line to the previous one

Step 5. Begin to draw the first spiral around the previous one for the second group of petals

Step 6. Wrap the previous group of petals with a larger irregular curved shape for the third group of petals

Step 7. Join the outer petals of the rose with wavy lines that connect the appropriate places

Step 8. Draw the guide line for the outermost petal of the rose

Step 9. Add details to the rose with more petals and leaves

Step 10. Color the rose red and the leaves green adding the necessary shadows
Method 2 of 3: Rose Motif

Step 1. Draw a small spiral in the center of the page

Step 2. Spread a petal on one side of the spiral

Step 3. Add another petal on the opposite side of the spiral

Step 4. Draw the third petal at the bottom of the spiral joining the upper petal shapes

Step 5. Add small details in the center of the rose spiral

Step 6. Create a leaf on each side of the flower with its corresponding small main vein

Step 7. Color the rose with different reds and green for the leaves
Method 3 of 3: Stem Rose

Step 1. Draw a vertical curve in the center of the page as a guide for the stem of the rose

Step 2. Add details of thorns on the left side of this curved line

Step 3. Add details on the right side of the line

Step 4. Draw a leaf extending from the top left of the side of the thorns

Step 5. Add a couple more leaves on either side of the stem

Step 6. Add details to the leaves by drawing the main vein and a few smaller ones

Step 7. Start making the flower from the base by drawing the sepals

Step 8. Keep drawing the petals from the center and adding one to its right

Step 9. Add more petals to the rose looking up and in the center

Step 10. Draw the center details of the petals

Step 11. Add details to the leaves with bold edges

Step 12. Erase all unnecessary guidelines and color in the rose and leaves

Step 13. Enrich the drawing by adding the appropriate lights and shadows
Advice
- Draw the lines gently until you feel confident. Although stains usually appear as you work, it's easier (and less stressful!) To be careful all the time.
- For a rustic-looking rose, paint it red and add some light brown accents.
- Make sure you have a clear idea of what you want the rose to look like before you start drawing it, rather than doing it on the fly.
- Smudging the lines inward is a shading technique that will add depth and realism to your rose.
- Gently smudge the shaded areas and some of the darker lines to give it a more rustic look.
- Use a blunt pencil to give the drawing a rustic look.
- Crumple up the paper and break off the ends to give the rose an antique look.
- Try crumpling the sheet to give the rose a more realistic look.
