Poetry is the simplest expression of the human being. Poetry can be described as therapy, a way of saying things and expressing our feelings. It is a resource to channel sensations and feelings through it and achieve a purpose, a legacy, a message or simply create a bridge for dialogue. This article presents simple steps to follow so that you can develop yourself and create your own poetry.
Steps

Step 1. Read poetry
The best way to become familiar with poetry is by reading it. In this way you will acquire more vocabulary, you will discover the different ways of writing and you will differentiate the way poets express themselves. Some highly recommended are Mario Benedetti, Juan Gelman and Jaime Sabines, among many more.
Experiment in different environments, inspiration often appears in unexpected places. You can try it in the park, in your room, in a totally silent environment or with background music. The important thing is that you can connect with your feelings.
It is important to take advantage of any time of inspiration and to be relaxed to express clearly what you want to write. You can focus on a person, an event or a phenomenon that you want to describe and channel everything through your imagination. We all have talent and a personal style, it is important to discover it, just as love comes into your life. Be specific but do not give it a meaning, that is the magic of poetry and that it speaks for you. Write expressing your ideas, you can use metaphors, images, rhymes or any other poetic tool. Nature is an excellent inspiring muse that you can use to express and let words bring your feelings to life, so that they dance freely on the reader's imagination. The more vocabulary you use, the more poetic the result will be. This does not mean that you use a lot of words, but rather that you replace some of common use with others of the same meaning. Although at first your poetry may not seem good to you, keep in mind that you can work on it as you gain more and more experience.
Step 2. Write in a place that is comfortable for you
Step 3. Focus your sensations
Once you have been clear about what feeling or feeling you will express on paper, proceed to combine it with your talent, whatever it may be
Step 4. Start writing down every sensation your body feels

Step 6. Get inspired by nature
For example, saying "chunks of ice that collide and make music" is not the same as saying "chorus of icicles."
