If you've ever wanted to spin the Mjölnir hammer like Chris Hemsworth from the Thor movies, having the right hairstyle will make you look that cool. Throughout the movies, Thor's hair has changed multiple times. Whether you want Thor's long hair or buzz cut, having his look is easy as long as you know what you're doing.
Steps
Method 1 of 3: Have Thor's Hairstyle at Shoulder Length

Step 1. Grow your hair out if you have it short
If you want Thor's shoulder length hairstyle, you will have to be patient and grow your hair out. Grow your hair long enough to create a shoulder-length ponytail.
You should be able to comb the sideburns behind the ears

Step 2. Shampoo your hair
Apply a dime-sized amount of shampoo to your hand and rub it into your hair. Shampoo the hair with the shampoo so that the lather begins to form. Keep doing this for another 2-3 minutes. Afterward, rinse your hair well with warm or hot water until no shampoo is available.

Step 3. Condition your hair
Conditioning your hair will soften it and make it easier to style. Apply a dime-sized drop of conditioner to your hand and work it through your hair while it's wet. That way, you'll be sure to spread it throughout your hair. Allow hair to absorb conditioner for up to 10 minutes before rinsing out with warm or hot water.

Step 4. Rub hair gel or wax into your hands
Purchase a hair-in-place product such as a pomade, gel, or wax online at a salon. Check the label and choose a hair product that gives it a matte finish and makes it look similar to Thor's hair. Place a dime-sized drop of wax or gel in the center of the palm and use another hand to rub it in.

Step 5. Apply gel on hand from back to front
Rub the gel lightly into your hair until you no longer have any more product on your hands. The gel will allow you to keep that part in place and give your hair volume.

Step 6. Comb your hair back with a comb while it is wet
Undo a few knots in your hair as you comb your hair back. Comb your sideburns behind your ears.

Step 7. Create a part away from the center with a comb
Thor's part is a slight angle, which is unnatural for most people. Use the tip of the comb to create a part slightly away from the center towards the left side of the head. Then, pass the tip of the comb towards the back of your head. Comb your hair to both sides of your head to create the part.

Step 8. Dry your hair
Set your hair dryer to low heat and medium speed. Drying your hair will allow the part to set. Run your fingers over it while you dry it. Make sure you don't disturb that part while you're doing it. The product should stiffen and hold that part in place.

Step 9. Allow hair to air dry
Stop using the hair dryer when most of it is dry and let the rest air dry. At that point, the hair will look like Thor's when it was at shoulder height.
Method 2 of 3: Create Thor's Style: A Dark World

Step 1. Grow your hair out
To make Thor's braid, you will need to grow your hair past your shoulders. Make sure your hair extends at least 2 inches (5.1 cm) past your shoulders before braiding.
This hairstyle was popularized in the movie Thor: Dark World

Step 2. Secure the top of your hair with a low ponytail
Use both hands to pin your hair back over your ears. Use your hands to gather your hair into a ponytail at the back of your head. Hold the ponytail with one hand.

Step 3. Secure the tail with an elastic hair band
Take an elastic hair band in your other hand and wrap it around the ponytail at the back of your head to secure it. You should wrap it around the hair near the head.
You can also tie a piece of string around the ponytail to keep it in place

Step 4. Wrap another rubber band for the horse around the ponytail
Continue an inch from the first elastic band of the hair and wrap another one towards the end of the ponytail. That way, the ponytail will look more like Thor's hair.

Step 5. Part a small section of hair on the side of the head
Take some excess hair on the side and part it into three individual parts. You will use this hair to create another smaller braid on the side of the head.

Step 6. Braid the three strands of hair
Cross the excess hair strand over the center strand. Then the right strand along the middle strand. Keep doing this until the hair is fully braided. Finish the braid by securing it with a rubber band or string.
Method 3 of 3: Getting a Short Thor Hairstyle

Step 1. Shave the sides and back of the hair with clippers
Wet your hair with water, then plug in the clipper. Use a 3 1/2 size guide comb on the sides and behind the head. Move the guide combs over the sides and back of the head without leaving the hair on top.

Step 2. Cut the top part of the hair with scissors
Cut the hair on the top of your head by hand so that it is 1 1/2 inches long. Chances are you need someone else to do the work for you.

Step 3. Use a hair clipper to make two 1-inch lines above the ears
Find reference photos from Thor: Ragnarok so you know exactly what the lines look like. Press the clipper against the hair to make two lines on each of the ears. You should cut the two lines at a 30 degree angle.
Do not put a guide comb on the clipper if you want to make sharp, straight lines

Step 4. Make another line at the back of the head
Find a photo of Thor again, then have someone place an angled line just below the crown of the head. That way, you will finish the cuts of Thor's hairstyle shorter.

Step 5. Gel your hair to make it look spiky
Spray hairspray on hair while it's wet, or rub gel or wax over it with your hands. Rub your hands through your hair so that it is spiky at the top and the strands remain upright. At that point, your hairstyle will look like Thor's shortest hairstyle.
