Method 1 of 3: Recreate the Luna Suit
Step 1. Find the black clothes for the uniform
Put on a typical black uniform that Luna and all the Hogwarts students wear. If possible, find most of the following items in your closet, at a thrift store, or at a costume store:
- A black skirt
- A white button-down shirt
- A black or gray sweater or vest
- Some black stockings
- Some black or gray knee high socks
- Some black dress shoes
- A black robe
Step 2. Use the Ravenclaw colors
Try adding dark blue or blue and bronze striped items to your wardrobe. These are the colors of Ravenclaw, the Hogwarts house that Luna belongs to.
- Make or find a tie and handkerchief in these colors to emulate common uniform items. You can also embellish a robe by lining it in blue or placing the crest of the Ravenclaw house.
- Note that in the books the colors of Ravenclaw are dark blue and bronze, but in the movies the colors are dark blue and platinum or light blue.

Step 1. Make "blimp plum" earrings

- Don't worry if you can't get all the parts for a Luna Lovegood costume. You can make a few key items, like a tunic and Luna's signature jewelry and glasses, inexpensively, and it will be enough to show that you are her!
- Luna's eyes are described as blue and hazy. If you don't have eyes like this, you can try contact lenses. However, people won't notice it much, so don't worry if your eyes aren't the right color.
