Hermione Granger is a strong and intelligent female character from the Harry Potter saga, whose hair has undergone various transformations throughout the films. In the first movie, Hermione was known for her voluminous, fluffy hair. As the movies progressed, her hair became softer and straighter. To style your hair like her, decide which version of Hermione Granger you'd like to look like, and use curls and a fierce attitude to make you look like her.
Steps
Method 1 of 3: Mimic the Look of a Young Hermione Granger

Step 1. Curl your hair
If you have frizzy hair, this won't be necessary. Use a curling iron if you have straight or wavy hair. Curl small strands one at a time. Continue until all hair is curled. The result will be very tight curls.
You can also use tubes if you don't want to heat treat your hair

Step 2. Brush your curls
When you've finished curling your hair, start brushing it. It doesn't matter what type of brush you use. Brushing the tight curls will give you Hermione Granger's signature "fluffy" look in the first movie. Continue until all of your hair is brushed.
This works best with thick hair, but you can achieve the same effect with thinner hair

Step 3. Fluff your hair with a comb or brush
If you have very thick hair, this will not be necessary. If you have thin hair, style it with a comb or brush, including the roots and ends. Hold small strands up and brush the underside of the hair in quick up and down strokes.

Step 4. Set the hairstyle with hairspray
Fluffy hair will last longer if you apply hairspray. Push the hair forward and apply hairspray to the bottom. Then, return it to its place and spray the rest of the hair.
Method 2 of 3: Style Hair Like a Slightly Older Hermione

Step 1. Part your hair to the right
Unless you already have your hair parted to the right, create a deep part to the right with a comb. You don't need to separate them completely. Part it to the middle of the scalp.

Step 2. Curl your hair
Create big, tight curls with a curling iron. Curl all of your hair except the right front section. If you have side bangs, don't curl it. Otherwise, don't curl the right front section to resemble a side bangs. Don't brush your curls.
If you have frizzy hair, you will need to straighten it before creating loose curls

Step 3. Secure the "bangs" with a hair clip
Remove the part of your hair that you did not curl from your face. Hold this strand up and to the right. You should place the hair clip a few inches above your right ear. Secure this section with a bobby pin or small hook.

Step 4. Fix your hair with hairspray
Spray your hair lightly to set the style. If you have gel, you can apply a small amount to your hair. The look is ready.
Method 3 of 3: Look Like Hermione in the Latest Movies

Step 1. Straighten your hair or add soft waves
Hermione's hair was almost straight in the last two movies. If you have naturally curly hair, straighten it to leave it with very light waves. If you have very straight hair, you can create soft curls and brush it or use a texturizing spray.
If you're using a texturizing spray, spray it all over your hair and add texture with your fingers

Step 2. Part your hair to the right
Even with the style she had in the later movies, Hermione had her hair parted to the right. Create a deep part to the right with a comb. It doesn't have to be perfect as the hairstyle is messy, but most of the front of the hair should be towards the right side of the head.

Step 3. Make a ponytail
Grab your hair and pull it back. The part of the hair should be to the right. Make a low ponytail. Then, secure the ponytail with a hair tie.
Step 4. Make the ponytail loose and messy
Shake your head to release some of the hair from the loose ponytail. Pull a section of hair out of the ponytail. It should look like it has been undone naturally by physical activity.
Advice
- Complete Hermione Granger's look with a costume. If you want to dress like a very young Hermione, put on a Hogwarts robe with a Gryffindor emblem. If you want to dress like an older Hermione, put on jeans and a fitted hoodie. Either way, complete the look with a wand!
- If you can, curl or straighten your hair using non-heat methods. You can find many tutorials on YouTube. You don't have to damage your hair to achieve Hermione's look, and Muggles don't have the magic to restore hair health, so be careful not to ruin it.
- Your hair will also be wavy if you sleep with two tight braids!
