You will recognize the ideal name that identifies you as a rapper when you hear it. In the meantime, try to be inspired by your past and your present. Hear other names of rappers whose music you like, and consider getting inspired by another rapper you admire. To do this, there are no hits or misses! Get creative and choose a name that defines you. Remember that you have the option to change it later.
Steps
Method 1 of 3: Brainstorm

Step 1. Choose a name that is compatible with your style
Your stage name can sound very different depending on where you come from and the type of rap music you make. Your name should reflect the type of impression you want to make on others (dangerous, silly, nice, or smart). Think about your identity.
Consider the types of names that other rappers in your area use. You do not have to copy others, but we advise you to familiarize yourself with the type of environment in which you want to start

Step 2. Use your real name as a guide
Include the first letter of your name or turn your name 180 °. Make sure your stage name sounds like it is your real name, but differs enough from it to distinguish you. To do this, there are no hits or misses. Be creative!
- Think of Eminem, whose real name is Marshall Mathers. His stage name is based on his initials: "M and M" (M and M).
- Lil Wayne's real name is Dwayne Michael Carter. He just removed the "D" from Dwayne to make it Wayne!

Step 3. Call up a nickname from your childhood
Snoop Dogg's mother was the person who gave him his stage name: Snoopy (famous Peanuts character) was his favorite animated character when he was little, and his mother started calling him by that name. When Snoop started out in the world of rap, he decided to use his childhood nickname to forge a unique stage presence.
Method 2 of 3: Seek Inspiration

Step 1. Try a stage name generator
The internet is flooded with free word generators, and some of them are specifically designed for creating rapper names. Even if you don't like what the algorithm returns, a generator could put you on the right track.
You could even find quizzes online that tell you what kind of stage name you should choose

Step 2. Get inspired by your life to choose your name
Choose a name, a word or a place from your childhood. Decide what name will make you known based on an element that is always present in your life. You have the opportunity to define your name, but your name must also define you, so choose something that reflects the way you live.

Step 3. Ask the people around you
Talk to your friends, family, and other rappers to see if they have any ideas. The people you see every day are the ones who watch you and know you best, so it is very likely that they will at least give you important clues to find your ideal stage name.
- Just say, "I'm trying to think of a good stage name. Do you have any ideas?"
- Try to gain perspective on the impression you make. Ask them, "What impression do I make when I rap?"

Step 4. Base the structure and design of your name on the name of your favorite rapper
This doesn't mean you should call yourself C-Diddy if you love P-Diddy. Analyze the stage names of the rappers you admire, and think about why their name suits them so well. Use a similar structure or lyrical device. Find out about how the most famous rappers chose their names.
Method 3 of 3: Put the name to the test

Step 1. Include the name in a song
You don't have to stick with a name just to say it out loud, especially if you're just starting out. Say your name at the beginning of a song to see how it sounds. If you use the flow of your rap as a reference, be sure to call yourself by your new stage name. Make sure it is sticky, something that is etched in the minds of others.
Record yourself and listen to the tape over and over again. If you like the way it sounds, keep it. If you don't like the way it sounds, try thinking of something else

Step 2. Don't be afraid to use multiple names
Maybe there are many aspects of your personality that come out when you rap. Try to stick with a stage name, but feel free to reference "characters" and versions of yourself when you rap. For example, Eminem often refers to himself as Slim Shady to express the harshest and baddest side of his personality.

Step 3. Ask for opinions
If you have trouble deciding, ask a trusted person for advice. Ask a friend, a brother, or another rapper. You don't need to take someone's advice, but it may help you solidify your own opinion.

Step 4. Remember that nothing is permanent
Sometimes the best way to form an opinion on something is to try it. You can change your stage name if it doesn't paste!
