Soundcloud is an online distribution platform that allows you to upload, record, promote, and share your own music. If you want to share your latest covers or listen to the latest songs from your friends, Souncloud is perfect for you. To create an account, start with step 1.
Steps
Part 1 of 2: Create your Soundcloud account

Step 1. Sign up for Soundcloud
Go to www.soundcloud.com and click the orange button that says “Sign up” in the upper right corner of the screen. A pop-up screen will open in which three options will appear to register: with Facebook, Google+ or your email.
- If you want to register with Facebook, click on that option and you will be redirected to an authorization screen where you must check if you want to receive emails from Soundcloud and accept the terms of use and privacy policy. Fill out the form and click on "Sign up."
- If you prefer to use Google+, click on that option and you will need to authorize Soundcloud to access your Google+ account. As with the Facebook option, you must agree to Soundcloud's terms of use and privacy policy. Fill out the form and click on "Sign up."
- If you decide to use your email, click on that option and enter your email address. Choose a password, confirm it in the following field and accept the terms of use and the privacy policy. Finally, click on "Sign up." If you choose this option, you must also choose a username.

Step 2. Choose your favorite types of music and audio
Once you've signed up, the Soundcloud welcome screen will ask you to choose which genres you want to listen to from a list of available categories. If you don't want to do it at this point, you can choose the "skip and finish" option.

Step 3. Verify your account
Check for an email from Soundcloud regarding the verification process. Click the link that appears in the email. Ready! Your account has been created.
Part 2 of 2: Get started with Soundcloud

Step 1. Edit your basic profile information
Enter your settings, choose the "Profile" option and click the "Edit" button, and in the first window that appears you will be able to modify your basic profile information. Here you can upload your profile picture, enter your real name and location and indicate your occupation or occupations (you can indicate up to three).

Step 2. Modify your advanced profile information
Once you enter "Edit," you can choose the option "Advanced Profile." You can write your description and include a link to a website or other profile.

Step 3. Start uploading your files
To add music to your stream, click "Upload". You have two options::
- You can choose an existing file.
- You can make a recording directly to your Soundcloud account.

Step 4. Get noticed
Once you've uploaded your music, be sure to tag it, add illustrations, and interact with as many people as possible. This will make more people find you on Soundcloud.
Advice
- Think of Soundcloud as a platform similar to Twitter, as they both work very similarly. Like on Twitter, many of the interactions happen when people share what others have done.
- Avoid uploading everything you have recorded. For greater impact, upload only the best and most representative of your work.
