This wikiHow article teaches you how to subscribe to Netflix, a popular streaming service that gives you unlimited access to streaming movies, TV shows, and other video content. Netflix will allow you to try the services free of charge for 30 days before committing. You can sign up for Netflix on a computer, phone, tablet, or smart TV.
Steps
Part 1 of 2: Sign up for Netflix

Step 1. Go to
Signing up for a computer is probably the easiest way to get started, but you can also do it in different ways:
- If you're using an Android, download the Netflix app from the Play Store, then launch it to start signing up.
- On an iPhone or iPad, download the Netflix app from the App Store, then open it to sign up for the service.
- On your smart TV, open the Netflix app (you may need to install it from the TV app store) and follow the onscreen instructions to get started.

Step 2. Enter your email address and click 30 Day Free Trial
New users qualify for a 30-day trial of the service. You may or may not see the words depending on the device you're using to sign up, but you'll usually find a free trial option regardless of whether you're on a phone, tablet, or smart TV.
- However, you will have to enter a payment method to enroll in the test, although you will not be billed until the period ends. If you cancel the trial before the 30-day period ends, you will not be billed for anything.
- If you have already used the free trial period, you will be asked to register and choose a plan.

Step 3. Click VIEW PLANS
This is the red button at the bottom of the "Choose your plan" screen.

Step 4. Choose a plan and click CONTINUE
The prices you see will vary depending on your location, but you will always find three different plan options: Basic, Standard, and Premium.
- The Basic lets you stream movies and TV shows on one screen at a time in standard definition (SD).
- The plans Standard and Premium They will allow you to watch the streaming on 2 and 4 screens respectively. The Standard supports the high definition (HD) format while the Premium supports both HD and Ultra HD.

Step 5. Click the red CONTINUE button
It's at the bottom of the "Finish setting up your account" screen.

Step 6. Enter a password and click CONTINUE
The email address has to be filled in the box for this purpose; otherwise, write it down now. You will use this email address and password to log into your Netflix account.

Step 7. Choose a payment method
If you have a Netflix gift card, choose Gift code. Otherwise, choose Credit or debit card to enter a payment card or PayPal (if available in your area) to register with PayPal.

Step 8. Enter your payment information
Fill out the on-screen form to enter your payment information. If you're using PayPal, follow the onscreen instructions to log into your account and approve your payment method.

Step 9. Click START MEMBERSHIP
This will activate the 30-day free trial period. If you decide to keep the service, you will not have to do anything else after this period ends. If you don't want to pay for a Netflix subscription, make sure to cancel it before of the last day of the trial period.
- To cancel the trial, log into your account at https://www.netflix.com and choose your profile. Click on the profile icon in the upper right corner and choose Bill, then click Cancel membership and follow the instructions on the screen.

Step 10. Follow the onscreen instructions to customize Netflix
Once you've created your account, you can set up one or more user profiles, choose your favorite genres and content, and start watching.
Part 2 of 2: Add a DVD Plan

Step 1. Go to
If you have signed up for Netflix and want to receive DVDs in the mail in addition to streaming content, you can add to the service that you have a DVD plan. To get started, log into your account on the Netflix page with your Netflix email and password.

Step 2. Click on the profile
This way you will get to your personal profile.

Step 3. Click on your profile icon
It's in the upper-right corner of the page.

Step 4. Click Account in the menu

Step 5. Click Add a DVD plan
It's in the "PLAN DETAILS" section near the middle of the page.

Step 6. Choose a DVD plan
Both plans Standard As the Premier include an unlimited number of rentals per month. The difference is that the plan Standard only allows you to rent one disc at a time, while the Premier It will allow you up to 2 rentals at the same time.
If you want to rent Blu-ray discs in addition to DVDs, check the box next to "Yes, I want to include Blu-ray" below the DVD rental options

Step 7. Click Get Started
It's the red button at the bottom of the page.

Step 8. Follow the onscreen instructions to confirm
If you are adding a DVD plan to the Netflix service for the first time, you will be given a 30-day free trial that starts immediately. Otherwise, you will be charged for the first month of the DVD service as soon as you confirm it.
- Go to https://dvd.netflix.com when you want to search for DVD. To add a DVD to your delivery queue, click Add to row or Add on the movie or program information screen.
- Manage the DVD queue by clicking the menu Row which is at the top of the DVD page.
