Sometimes the carpet in your car can become worn or stained and needs a replacement. It is not a difficult job you just have to follow some basic instructions.
Steps
Method 1 of 2: Remove the old carpet

Step 1. Take out the front seats
They are usually supported by bolts that you can see from underneath the car.

Step 2. Take out the back seats
They may be supported by fasteners at the bottom and presses at the top.

Step 3. Remove the seat belts, which are held by bolts

Step 4. Remove any other objects that are in your way
This includes the edge panels. Search for everything you can see and touch.

Step 5. Remove the old carpet
Roll it up and save it because you will use it to measure the other rug.
Method 2 of 2: Install the new carpet

Step 1. Lay the old carpet over the new carpet to use as a template
Cut the new carpet slightly larger than the old one.

Step 2. Start at the front and put the rug in the car
Cut the excess around and cut the holes as you go. The heel mat should be under the brake and accelerator.

Step 3. Smooth the rug from the center out

Step 4. Put back the seats, and other objects that you removed from the car

Step 5. Make sure everything is secure and that you don't have pieces left over at the end
Advice
- If any of the parts are held in by snap fasteners, use a flat screwdriver to lift them up.
- Count the pots on the old carpet to make sure they are all done on the new carpet.
