Car battery posts sulfate due to moisture from the acid they contain. Cleaning them is very simple and ensures a longer and useful life of our battery. When car batteries are at the maturity of their useful life, blue-green scale begins to appear, which usually hinders the flow of current. You need to wash the posts and terminals. You don't always need to remove them. Here we will tell you a home remedy.
Steps
Method 1 of 1: Long Procedure

Step 1. Disconnect both cables first (start with negative)
If the terminals are stuck, don't ever loosen them with hammer blows because you run the risk of grinding the battery. If you cannot loosen them with the help of any suitable tool, moisten them a little with a splash of hot water, they will loosen immediately.

Step 2. Mix two tablespoons of baking soda in a cup of water
Place the cables inside the glass and let it act for about 5 minutes.

Step 3. Remove the cables and rinse with clean water
Then you can lightly sand the terminals with a round brush sold in auto parts stores for this purpose. Put a little petroleum jelly on them, so you will prevent them from sulfating again.
