If you are trying to write in Spanish on a Dell computer running Windows operating system, there are a few methods you can follow. Once you learn the correct codes and tricks for what you need, it will be easy to do it fast!
Steps
Method 1 of 3: Use Microsoft Office shortcuts
Use keyboard shortcuts to type them in Microsoft Office for Windows

Step 1. For accented vowels:
press Ctrl + ', then the vowel (Ctrl +' + a = á)

Step 2. For the Ñ:
press Ctrl + ~, then the letter n (Ctrl + ~ + n = = ñ)
Method 2 of 3: Use the ASCII code

Step 1. Make sure you have the right equipment
These will only work if you have a number pad on your computer keyboard or an external USB number pad.

Step 2. Write the correct code
Each character on the computer has a code that is composed by pressing the alt = "Image" key and then a three-digit number, all of which are listed below.
- á = Alt + 0225
- é = Alt + 00233
- í = Alt + 00237
- or = Alt + 00243
- ú = Alt + 00250
- ñ = Alt + 00241
- ü = Alt + 00252
- ¡= Alt + 00161
- ¿= Alt + 00191
Method 3 of 3: Use the Character Map
If you don't use Microsoft Office, then you must use the character map to copy the letters

Step 1. Open the “Character Map” by clicking the “Start” button

Step 2. In the search box, type “Character Map”

Step 3. In the list of results, click on “Character Map”

Step 4. Click on the “Font” list and then click on the font you want to use

Step 5. Click on the special character you want to insert into the document

Step 6. Click "Select" and then "Copy."

Step 7. Open your document and click on the location where you want the special character to appear
