This wikiHow teaches you how to make a folding card in Google Docs. To do this, you can use the Google Slides app from the Google Docs freeware suite.
Steps
Part 1 of 4: Create the inside of the card

Step 1. Open Google Slides
Go to https://docs.google.com/presentation/ in your computer's web browser. This action will open the Google Slides page of your Google account if you are signed in.
If you haven't already signed in to a Google account, enter your email address and password when prompted before proceeding

Step 2. Click Blank
It's at the top left of the page. This will open a blank slide.

Step 3. Erase the contents of the slide
You can remove the title text boxes with the preset formatting by doing the following:
- Click on a blank space on the slide.
- Press Ctrl + A (Windows) or Command + A (Mac) to highlight the entire slide.
- Press the key Recoil (Windows) or the key Suppress (Mac).

Step 4. Click Insert
It's a tab in the upper-left corner of the page. Clicking here opens a drop-down menu.
On a Mac, be sure to do this on the page rather than in the Mac menu bar at the top of the screen

Step 5. Click Text Box
It's in the drop-down menu Insert. The cursor should turn into a cross.

Step 6. Create the text box on the left side of the slide
Click and drag the mouse from the top left corner of the slide to just before the middle, then drag the mouse down to the bottom of the slide. This will be the left page of the card.

Step 7. Enter any text you want to use
Write the card's message in the text box.
You can center the text by highlighting it, clicking the "Align" tab (which looks like four stacked horizontal lines) and clicking the "Center" option, which is the second icon from the left in the drop-down menu that appears

Step 8. Add an image if you want
If you want to use an image on the inside of the card, please make sure the image is on the computer. Then do the following:
- Click on Insert.
- Choose Image in the drop-down menu.
- Click on Upload from the computer from the pop-up menu.
- Choose an image, then click To open or Choose.
- Resize the image by clicking and dragging its corners in or out.
- Click and drag the image to the location in your presentation where you want to save the image.

Step 9. Create the second inner page of the card
You can do this by adding a text box to the right side of the slide.
- Click on Insert, then click Text box in the drop-down menu.
- Click and drag the mouse from the upper right corner to almost the middle of the slide, then drag it down to the bottom of the card.
- Enter text and images, if necessary.
Part 2 of 4: Create the card cover

Step 1. Create a new slide
Click on the icon + which is at the top left of the page, above the top slide. This action will add and open a new slide.

Step 2. Erase the contents of the slide
Click in a blank space on the slide, press Ctrl + A (Windows) or Command + A (Mac) to highlight the entire slide, and press the key. Recoil (Windows) or the key Suppress (Mac).

Step 3. Add the cover image
You can add a front cover image to the card by doing the following:
- Click on Insert.
- Choose Image in the drop-down menu.
- Click on Upload from the computer from the pop-up menu.
- Choose an image, then click To open or Choose.
- Resize the image by clicking and dragging the corners in or out.
- Click and drag the image to the right side of the slide.

Step 4. Insert a text box at the top of the image
You can do it in the same way that you added the text boxes to the rest of the pages of the card.
- Click on Insert.
- Click on Text box.
- Click and drag your mouse across the section of the image where you want to create the text.

Step 5. Add your cover text
Write what you want to use as the card's message in the text box.
- If you need to change the color of the text, highlight the text in question, then click Format, choose Text, choose Colour and then click on the color you want to use.
Part 3 of 4: Save the card

Step 1. Make any final changes to the card
Once you've saved your card, you won't be able to make changes without going back to the card project in Google Slides and downloading it again.

Step 2. Click File
It's at the top left of the page. A drop-down menu will appear.
- On a Mac, be sure to click File on the Google Docs page and not on the Mac menu bar.

Step 3. Choose Download as
This option is in the drop-down menu. Choosing it will bring up a pop-up menu.

Step 4. Click PDF Document (.pdf)
It's in the pop-up menu. A PDF version of the card will begin downloading to your computer.
Step 5. Wait for the card to download
This process may take a few seconds. Once the PDF is finished downloading, you can proceed with printing.
Part 4 of 4: Print the card

Step 1. Open the PDF
Double-click the PDF to open it in your computer's default PDF viewer.

Step 2. Open the "Print" menu
The fastest way to do this in any program is by pressing Ctrl + P (Windows) or Command + P (Mac).
- On a Mac, you can also click File in the upper left corner of the screen and then click To print in the drop-down menu that appears.

Step 3. Select the printer if necessary
If the printer you want to use is not checked at the top of the menu, click the name of the current printer and then click the printer you want to use.

Step 4. Set the printer to print double-sided
This step will vary depending on your printer, so check your manual or online documentation for instructions that are specific to your printer. With the double-sided printing setting, the card will have the front cover and the inside of the card on the same piece of paper.

Step 5. Click Print
It's at the bottom of the menu. The card will be printed.

Step 6. Fold the card
Make sure the cover section is on the outside and the inside of the card is closed when you fold the card.
