How to delete a Venmo account from a PC or Mac

This wikiHow teaches you how to cancel your Venmo account from a computer, as it is not possible to do so through an app or mobile browser. Before canceling it, you must withdraw your money. If you have pending payments, you will be prompted to make those transactions before you can close the account.

You can use any web browser like Chrome or Safari to access Venmo.

If you are not logged in, click Get in In the upper right corner of the screen, enter your account information and click Sign in to Venmo.

Step 2. Click Settings

It's in the menu bar, near the upper-right corner of the screen.

Step 3. Click Close my account

This option will be found at the bottom of the screen, above the blue "Save changes" button.

Step 4. Click Next in the pop-up window

You will need to review and download your latest account statement so that you can close the account.

Step 5. Click Next

This blue button is at the top of the page, above your account statement.

You can also click Download CSV to save a copy of the statement on your computer.

Step 6. Click Close Account to confirm

Once done, your account will be closed and you will receive an email with the Venmo transaction history.
