This wikiHow teaches you how to install the Simple Poll app for Slack, and how to create a poll in a chat channel, using a desktop internet browser.
Steps

Step 1. Open Simple Poll in an internet browser
Type simplepoll.rocks in the address bar, and press ↵ Enter or Return on the keyboard.

Step 2. Click the Add to Slack button
This button will be in the middle of the page. You will be prompted to authorize Simple Poll for your workspace in Slack.
If you don't automatically log into Slack in your browser, you will be prompted to enter your workspace address, and log in with email and password

Step 3. Click the green Authorize button
This will allow you to create and share surveys in the selected workspace.
- If you want to use Simple Poll in a different workspace, click the icon
Android7dropdown in the upper right corner of the page, and select the workspace you want.

Step 4. Open Slack on your computer
You can use the Slack desktop app or log into your workspace at Slack.com.

Step 5. Select a channel in the left panel
Find the channel you want to send a message to in the Channels list in your workspace, and open it.

Step 6. Type / survey "Question" "1" "2" in the message field
This command will allow you to create a survey with the Simple Pol application, and share it with your contacts in the chat.

Step 7. Replace "Question" with the actual question inside the quotation marks
Delete Question inside the quotation marks, and enter the question for the survey.

Step 8. Replace "1" and "2" with the answer choices
Delete the numbers inside the quotes, and enter some answer options for the survey.
You will be able to add more response options to the command line in this part

Step 9. Send the message to the chat
Press ↵ Enter or Return on the keyboard to send the command line to chat. This will automatically create the survey.
