This wikiHow teaches you how to delete your WhatsApp account, uninstall the application, reinstall it from the Play Store, and set up a new account to avoid blocking all your contacts.
Steps
Part 1 of 2: Delete WhatsApp

Step 1. Open WhatsApp Messenger on the Android device
The WhatsApp icon is like a green speech bubble with a white phone inside. You can find it in the Applications menu.

Step 2. Press the ⋮ icon
This button is located in the upper right corner of the screen. This action will open a drop-down menu.

Step 3. Press Settings
This action will open the configuration menu.

Step 4. Press Account
This option is next to a green key icon at the top of the menu.

Step 5. Press Delete my account
This option is at the bottom of the menu.

Step 6. Select your country
Press the drop-down menu at the bottom of the screen and select the country for your phone number.

Step 7. Enter your phone number
Press the field " Phone number"and enter the number associated with the account.

Step 8. Press the red DELETE MY ACCOUNT button
This button is at the bottom of the screen. You will have to confirm the decision on the next page.

Step 9. Press the red DELETE MY ACCOUNT button to confirm
When you are ready, press this button to delete the account.

Step 10. Uninstall the WhatsApp Messenger application
Press the WhatsApp icon in the Applications menu and drag it to the tab UNINSTALL on the screen. This action will delete all the files of the WhatsApp application from the Android device.
- Depending on the device, the UNINSTALL tab may be at the top or bottom of the screen.
- When prompted to confirm the decision, tap TO ACCEPT or CONFIRM.

Step 11. Restart the Android device
Restarting it will delete all cache and temporary files on the phone or tablet.
Part 2 of 2: Reinstall WhatsApp

Step 1. Open the Google Play Store on the Android device
Find and tap the icon

in the Applications menu to open the Play Store.

Step 2. Search for WhatsApp in the Play Store
Press the bar " Look for"at the top and look for WhatsApp Messenger.

Step 3. Press the green INSTALL button next to WhatsApp
This action will download and reinstall WhatsApp Messenger on the Android device.

Step 4. Press the green OPEN button
When the installation is complete, you will see a green button that says OPEN. This will close the Play Store and open WhatsApp.

Step 5. Press the ACCEPT AND CONTINUE button
This button will allow you to set up a new account.

Step 6. Set up a new WhatsApp account
You will need to verify your phone number with a text message and enter a display name for the account. The new account will be unlocked for all contacts who blocked your old account.
