This wikiHow teaches you how to charge an Apple Watch, either using the included charger or using an Apple Watch tabletop stand.
Steps
Method 1 of 2: Use an Apple Watch Charger

Step 1. Plug the charger into an electrical outlet
The block side of the charger cord should plug into most standard electrical outlets.
- If the charger cable is separated from the end of the plug, first plug the rectangular end of the cable into the port on the charger block. The cable should only fit in one direction.
- You can also separate the cable from the block and then plug the rectangular end into the USB port of a computer, as long as it is a USB version 3.0 port, with charging capacity.

Step 2. Place the charger face up, on a flat surface
The slightly serrated side of the loading disc should be up, while the flat side should be down, on a flat, even surface.

Step 3. Place the Apple Watch on the charger
The Apple Watch should face up, on the charger. You will feel a slight magnetic force when you put the Apple Watch on the charger, and the screen will light up with a progress bar and a percentage of charge.

Step 4. Let the Apple Watch charge
You can monitor the charging progress by looking at the battery percentage at the bottom of the screen.
When the Apple Watch has "100% charged" at the bottom of the screen, you should remove it from the charger

Step 5. Lay the Apple Watch on its side to activate Nightstand mode
In this mode, the Apple Watch buttons are used to activate the sleep and high alarms. The display shows the time and a ring that indicates the battery status, along with the date and the next alarm.
The indicators at the top tell you if you are not connected to an iPhone or Wi-Fi network, and if you have notifications. The charging indicator is never displayed
Method 2 of 2: Use an Apple Watch Table Stand

Step 1. Buy a table stand for Apple Watch made by another manufacturer
Unlike the charging disc, Apple Watch table stands have places where the cable can go in, revealing the circular end at the end.

Step 2. Pass the Apple Watch cable through the bracket
How you do this will vary depending on the support for Apple Watch.
Some Apple Watch mounts have a built-in charger cable. In this case, you just have to connect an iPhone charger cable to the back or side of the holder

Step 3. Plug the charger into an electrical outlet
The block side of the charger cord should plug into most standard outlets.
- If the charger cable is separated from the end with the plug, first plug the rectangular end of the cable into the port on the charger block. The cable should only fit in one direction.
- You can also separate the cable from the block and then plug the rectangular end into the USB port of a computer, as long as it is a USB version 3.0 port, with charging capacity.

Step 4. Place the back of the Apple Watch against the charger
Wherever the charger disc is in the holder, the back of the Apple Watch must be attached to the back, in order to charge.

Step 5. Let the Apple Watch charge
You can monitor the charging progress by looking at the battery percentage at the bottom of the screen.
When the Apple Watch has "100% charged" at the bottom of the screen, you should remove it from the charger

Step 6. Turn Apple Watch on its side to activate Nightstand mode
This will not be possible for some Apple Watch table stands. In Nightstand mode, the Apple Watch buttons are used to activate the sleep and stop alarms. The display shows the time and a ring that indicates the battery status, along with the date and the next alarm.
