This wikiHow article teaches you how to change the email address that you use to sign in to iCloud, the iTunes Store, and Apple devices and services. If your Apple ID ends in @ mac.com, @ me.com, or @ iCloud.com, you can change it.
Steps
Method 1 of 2: Use a browser

Step 1. Sign out of your Apple ID
Do this on all devices and services, such as iCloud and iTunes, where you are signed in with your current Apple ID.

Step 2. Go to your Apple ID website
Go there by clicking the link on the left or by typing appleid.apple.com into the search engine of any browser connected to the Internet.

Step 3. Enter your current Apple ID and password in the boxes

Step 4. Click or select ➲
It's to the right of the "Password" field.
If you have two-step verification enabled, select or click "Allow" on another device, then enter the six-digit code in the spaces on the screen

Step 5. Click or select Edit
It's a blue link on the right side of the screen under the "Account" section.

Step 6. Click or select Change email address
It's next to the email address, under the "Apple ID" section at the top of the window.
If your Apple ID ends in in @ mac.com, @ me.com, or @ iCloud.com, you won't see this option

Step 7. Enter a new email address
Use an address that is not yet linked to an Apple ID or will change shortly.
If the security questions you set up with your Apple ID appear, answer them

Step 8. Click or select Next
Apple will send you an email with a verification code to your new email address.
- The button could indicate Continue, depending on the browser you use.

Step 9. Check your email
Find the message sent by Apple.

Step 10. Enter the verification code
Write the verification code from the email message in the spaces that appear in the browser window.

Step 11. Sign in with your new Apple ID
Now you can log back in to all Apple devices and services with your new Apple ID.
If you have two-step verification enabled, select or click "Allow" on another device, then enter the six-digit code in the spaces on the screen
Method 2 of 2: Use iPhone or iPad with iOS 10.3

Step 1. Sign out of your Apple ID
Do this on all devices and services, such as iCloud and iTunes, where you are signed in with your current Apple ID, except the device that you will use to change your Apple ID.

Step 2. Open “Settings”
It is a gray application with gears (⚙️) that is usually found on the home screen.

Step 3. Select your Apple ID
It's the section at the top of the screen with your name and image, if you've added one.

Step 4. Select Name, phone numbers, email
It's at the top of the first section.

Step 5. Select Edit
It's a blue link on the right side of the screen, next to "Accessible in."

Step 6. Shift your current Apple ID to the left
It's the first email address on the list, with the words "Apple ID" in small words just below it.
- On some devices, you may have to select a "-"next to the email address, instead of changing it to the left.
- If your Apple ID ends in @ mac.com, @ me.com, or @ iCloud.com, you won't be able to change it on the left.

Step 7. Select Delete
It's a red button to the left of your Apple ID.

Step 8. Select Continue
An option will appear for you to choose another email address already linked to your Apple ID, if there is one, or to enter a new email address.

Step 9. Enter a new email address
Use an email address that is not yet linked to your Apple ID or will change shortly.
If the security questions you set up with your Apple ID appear, answer them

Step 10. Click Next
Apple will send you an email with a verification code to your new email address.

Step 11. Check your email
Find the message sent by Apple.

Step 12. Enter the verification code
Write the code of the email message in the spaces that appear on the screen of your device.

Step 13. Sign in with your new Apple ID
You can now log back into your Apple devices and services with your new Apple ID.
