Method 1 of 2: Open an OPUS File in Windows

Step 1. Install the VLC Player application for Windows

Login to https://www.videolan.org/vlc/index.html from a browser.
Click on Download VLC and wait for the download to start.
If prompted, click Save File or Download to save the installer.
Run the installer by double-clicking the downloaded file. You may need to click Yes or Let to start the process.
Follow the instructions on the screen to install the application.

Step 2. Press the ⊞ Win + E keys to open the file explorer

A list of the files and drives on your computer will appear.

Step 3. Open the folder that contains the OPUS file

Its extension is.opus.

Step 4. Right click on the file

A context menu will expand.

Step 5. Click Play with VLC media player
