This wikiHow teaches you how to print double-sided pages on a Mac computer. To automatically print double-sided, you must have a duplex printer. If your printer isn't capable of printing double-sided pages, you can print the pages one at a time and manually reinsert the sheets upside down.
Steps
Method 1 of 2: Use a duplex printer

Step 1. Open the document you want to print
It can be a Word document, Office, PDF, Safari web page, etc.

Step 2. Click File
It's in the menu bar at the top of the screen.

Step 3. Click Print
You can also print by pressing Command + P.

Step 4. Click the drop-down menu under the targeting options
By default it will have the name of the program or application you are using.

Step 5. Select "Design"
It's in the drop-down menu with the name of the application you are using.

Step 6. Click on the "Double-sided" drop-down menu
It's below the "margin" drop-down menu.
If the "Duplex" menu is grayed out, it could be that your printer is not compatible with this type of printing

Step 7. Select "Vertical binding" or "Horizontal binding"
- "Portrait binding" is the most commonly used. Select this option if you plan to stitch your pages on the long side of the paper. These would be the left and right sides if you decide to print in the portrait orientation.
- Select "Landscape Binding" if you plan to stitch your pages on the short sides of the paper. These would be the top and bottom of the pages using portrait orientation, or the left and right sides using landscape.

Step 8. Click Print
Now your sheets will be printed on both sides.
