This wikiHow teaches you how to upload photos from your gallery to Snapchat. You can do this from a Snapchat chat window or the device's photos app.
Steps
Method 1 of 3: Upload a photo from a chat
Step 1. Open Snapchat
If prompted, enter your username and password, and press Log in.
Step 2. Press the Chat button
It's the chat bubble in the lower left corner.
You can also swipe right on the screen to access this page
Step 3. Press the chat where you want to share a photo
Step 4. Tap the photo icon
It's on the left, below the text field.
Step 5. Tap the photo you want to share
You can select more than one photo to share at the same time.
Step 6. Click Edit (optional)
You can add text, stickers or drawings to photos.
- If you select multiple photos to share at the same time, you cannot use the option Edit.
Step 7. Press the Submit button
It's a blue arrow in the lower right corner. This action will share the photo (s) and any edits you have made in the selected chat.
Method 2 of 3: Share from Gallery (iPhone and iPad)
Step 1. Open the Photos app
This is the app that has the rainbow pattern on a white background on one of the home screens.
Step 2. Press the photo you want to upload
Step 3. Press the Share button
It's the square with an arrow in the upper right corner.
Step 4. Press Snapchat
It will appear in a list of app options below the photo.
- If you don't see this option, press Plus in the application list and slide the button Snapchat to the On position. The button will turn green when activated.
Step 5. Edit the photo (optional)
Once you open it on Snapchat, you can add text, stickers, or drawings to it.
Step 6. Press the Submit button
It's a blue arrow in the lower right corner.
Step 7. Select the recipients
A blue check will appear next to a name when it is selected.
Step 8. Press the Submit button
It's a blue arrow in the lower right corner. The photo will be uploaded and sent as a snap to the selected contacts.
Method 3 of 3: Share from the Photos app (Android)
Step 1. Open the Photos app
It is the application that has the icon of the pinwheel of various colors and you can find it in the application tray.
Step 2. Press the photo you want to upload
Step 3. Press the Share button
They are the 3 points connected by lines in the lower left corner of the screen.
Step 4. Press Snapchat
Scroll down if you don't see this option listed.
Step 5. Press the Submit button
It's a blue arrow in the lower right corner.
Step 6. Select the recipients
A blue check will appear next to a name when it is selected.
Step 7. Press the Submit button
It's a blue arrow in the lower right corner. The photo will be uploaded and sent as a snap to the selected contacts.
