The real estate profession is highly regulated everywhere and that includes salespeople. Like most regulated things, it can be very confusing and scary when you have to crack all the rules. Steps

Step 1. Qualify
In order to qualify as a candidate you must:
- Be at least 18 years of age.
- Have a high school diploma or the equivalent. (GED).
- Have the United States Social Security card.

Step 2. Complete your schooling before getting licensed
Successfully complete the Florida Real Estate Commission approved pre-licensing course to handle sales by associates, which consists of 63 classroom hours.

Step 6. Acquire a real estate broker affiliation or activate your license
Your real estate license is not technically active until you have found employment with a licensed broker.
