The process to become a certified professional in the real estate industry varies from state to state. Most real estate agents and brokers need to have a certain number of hours of pre-licensing training and, in some cases, experience in order to be fully licensed. The following steps will show you everything you will need to consider to enter a career in real estate in Pennsylvania.
Steps
Step 1. Required age:
An applicant seeking certification as a real estate salesperson must be at least 18 years of age.
Step 2. Receive required education prior to licensing:

- Complete 60 hours of approved instruction on Real Estate Fundamentals (30 hours) and Real Estate Practices (30 hours).

- The Pennsylvania Real Estate Commission requires you to pass a proctored in-person final exam with a score of at least 75%.
- You have a maximum of three chances to pass the final exam. In case of not passing on the third attempt, you will have to take the course again.
Step 3. Register for the State Exam:

Step 5. Get an affiliation as a broker:
