Tereré is a drink for hot days that is well known in Paraguay, Argentina, Uruguay, Brazil, etc. Although it is originally from Paraguay and is taken with cold water, there are thousands of ways to take it: with cold water, with multi-fruit juices and many more. Below you will find how to prepare this drink, ideal for a hot day.
Steps

Step 1. Put the juice of the flavor you like the most and ice in a jug
Make sure it is very cold before using it. The juice can be from a fruit or it can also be made into a powdered juice.
If you don't like the flavor of the juice with the yerba, you can only use ice water
Step 2. Fill a glass with yerba mate halfway
Then insert the bombilla (utensil for sipping liquids, especially mate) and some ice cubes.

- There are different types of yerba mate on the market, there are with or without a stick, with herbs, with orange or lemon peels, some also have more powder than others.
- For the tereré it is advisable to use yerba con palo, it can be flavored or not.
- You can flavor the herb yourself by adding mint, lemon verbena or orange peel leaves.
Step 3. Pour the juice into the glass and enjoy a delicious tereré
Once you have all the liquid, refill the glass with juice and drink it again.

- You can do this as many times as you want, until the juice is no longer cold or until the yerba mate has no more flavor. When this happens, throw away the used yerba and add new yerba if you want to continue drinking tereré.
- Both mate and tereré are ideal drinks to share with others.
Advice
- To make it better, put the ice cubes first and then the yerba.
- You can add other herbs such as peppermint, peppermint, boldo, etc.
