Pore Cleansing Strips are a product to help remove the appearance of blackheads on the nose, forehead, and chin. These strips contain an adhesive that can grab some pesky blackheads and pull them out. While these strips work on their own, there are also additional things you can do to improve their effectiveness. If you follow the instructions exactly and prepare your skin well, you can make the most of them.
Steps
Part 1 of 3: Prep Your Pores

Step 1. Wash your face
Before applying the pore cleansing strips, you will want to wash your face with a cleanser that you use regularly. In this way, you will remove dirt and oil accumulation on the surface of the face.
It's best to experiment with different brands of cleanser until you find the perfect one for your skin type

Step 2. Fill the sink with hot water
Press the stopper into the sink and make sure the water is hot enough to steam. If the tap water is not that hot, you can boil some water on a stove.

Step 3. Put your face on top of the steam for 10 to 20 minutes
The hot water and steam can help loosen the sebum that builds up inside the pores, which will help the strips to remove sebum. Position your face above the sink so that the steam rises towards it.
Part 2 of 3: Apply pore cleansing strips

Step 1. Get your face wet
If you've prepared your face well for the pore cleansing strips, the lavatory steam must have already created moisture on your face. However, if your face is not wet enough, these strips will not stick. To make sure they stick, run a little hot water on your nose, chin, or forehead, depending on the type of strips you are using.

Step 2. Apply the strips to your face
Read the instructions before use so you know where the top and bottom strips go. Apply them carefully to the part of your face where you are going to use them and flatten them with your fingers.
- Remember to wash your hands before applying the strips.
- If the strips don't fit you, you can cut them with scissors to make them fit better.

Step 3. Let the strip dry for 10-15 minutes
This will help it stick to your skin and remove blackheads. Set a stopwatch on your cell phone or watch so you know when the time is up.

Step 4. Pull the strips from top to bottom
Hold both sides of the strip and begin to slowly pull it up and down. Pull it on both sides at the same time for the best results. You will see that the black dots transfer to the strip once you take it out.
Part 3 of 3: Adding Baking Soda

Step 1. Mix 1 teaspoon (5 ml) of baking soda and 1 cup (240 ml) of water in a bowl
The baking soda will help exfoliate your skin, making it less greasy and will make your strips more effective. Mix the baking soda and water well to ensure that the two ingredients are well incorporated.

Step 2. Soak the strips in the solution
Put the strips in the baking soda solution and swirl them around to absorb some of the solution. Take them out and squeeze out the excess water. This will transfer the baking soda to the strip itself.

Step 3. Apply the solution to your nose
Instead of using normal water as usual, you can use the baking soda solution in your nose to moisten it for the strip. Use a cotton ball to transfer some of the solution to your nose.

Step 4. Press the strip on the nose
Read the instructions so you know how to apply it properly. Stick it on your nose and smooth out any wrinkles with your fingers.

Step 5. Wait 10-15 minutes and then remove the strip
Let the strip dry, then slowly peel it from top to bottom. In this way, you will remove the blackheads from the nose.
